The Ronnie Jones Quartet are availble for bookings all year round. The quartet has played at some of the biggest UK jazz festivals, including London's Ealing Jazz Festival and The Cheltenham Jazz Festival, as well as in myriad local jazz venues throughout the UK's Westcountry, namely Devon, Somerset and Dorset. The quartet has established a reputation for playing accessible jazz standards woven together through imaginative programming; immediately distinctive is the creative use of the full dynamic and textural spectrums.
Gary Bayley (saxophone) is veteran of the jazz scene and featured soloist in Mike Westbrook groups. Joss Kidd (guitar) was taught by Phil Robson (2009 Best Jazz Musician of the year) and is an alumni of the Middlesex jazz degree course. David George (bass) for many years has been the choice of bandleaders where he has been featured in duo through to big-band formats. Ronnie himself was taught by Tubby Hayes' drummer Bill Eyden and is an in-demand jazz drummer on the Westcountry scene with a reputation for sensitive playing.
